23rd of June 2012 Viva School of Dance held its first Latin and Ballroom children class competition. It was a great day of competitive dancing. The competition started with kids under 5 years of ages, followed by kids under 8 years of age, juveniles and juniors in both Latin and Ballroom categories. There were 18 different events held during the day.
 
We were delighted with the support from our little dance stars and their parents as well as kids and their parents from other dance schools; there was a buzz from the moment the doors opened at 3pm Saturday afternoon.

We would like to thank the adjudicator for the day Mr. Tommy Shaughnessy, John Edward Nolan (MC) Gillian Cleary (Music), Laura Nolan and Stas Wakeham (Floor stewards) Sean Smullen and Hazel Ryan.

We also would like to thank Moira Bennett and Fiona Gormley, principal and deputy principal of School Cathriona Cailini for hosting the event, and Elegant Flowers (www.elegant flowers.ie) for stunning flower arrangements.

We are delighted to announce that this was the first of many competitions to come. Viva Dance next event is in November.
